Mal au Pixel presents playful projects both experimenting with and taking a critical approach to media and technology in the context of its festival and other around-the-year activities. Mal au Pixel explores electronic arts and current issues in the development of digital media through themed exhibitions, lectures, practical workshops as well as seminars.

Piksel is an annual event for artists and developers working with free and open source software, hardware and art. Part workshop, part festival, it is organised in Bergen, Norway, and involves an international community of participants exchanging ideas, coding, presenting art and software projects, doing workshops, performances and discussions on the aesthetics and politics of free and open source software.

Pixelache is a transdisciplinary platform for experimental art, design, research and activism in Helsinki (Finland). Organised by non-profit association Piknik Frequency ry, it consists of an annual festival in Helsinki, as well as experimental art-science and technology productions, an educational programme called Pixelversity, residencies and other activities since 2002.

LornaLab is a recently founded forum for the creative use of technology. Our current function is information, resource and inspiration sharing which has taken the form of lectures, fieldtrips and workshops in our short life to date. We are based in Reykjavík, Iceland and sometimes refer to ourselves as “Reykjavík Medialab”. Among our members are industrial designers, art theorists, computer scientists,  AI researchers,  Music theorists and new media artists to name a few.

Access Space is an open access digital media centre that provides a space and an opportunity for people to pursue creative individual and group projects, share information, inspiration and skills. Participants are invited to make use of the technology available, take part in peer learning, create and communicate.
