Limen Workshop Participant Interview: Stefan Tiefengraber (DE)

> What attracted you in this workshop and what were your expectations?
I don't have a big knowledge in sound and music but I am more and more interested in sound art.
I was expecting to learn about a new device and produce sounds out of something you can not see.

> Can you describe what things you learned in this workshop? What did you learn that was unexpected?
It was surprising that I could solder these small smt parts and fit them really nice. The whole device's design is really nice, and I did not expect that it is possible to do it yourself, without a machine or without being a professional.

> What are you going to do with this knowledge now?
I can keep the device so I will experiment and see what I can get out of it, make projects with it, in connection to my artworks.

> Would you like to develop these skills/knowledge further or was what you learned sufficient for your own objectives?
I think it is part of the process of my learning and learning by doing. It is always a combination of learning by yourself and also in workshops, and also come back home and give the knowledge to other people.

> Will you collaborate in future with the people you met in the workshop?
Maybe
